We kick off the list with our favorite when it comes to coffee, juices, bagels, sandwiches, burgers... Actually, the entire menu is just great. Did we already say CAKE? Whether you have something to celebrate or just have a sweet tooth; you simply cannot skip the cake at Number Ten. Red Velvet, Pumpkin Pie or Carrot Cake... Is your mouth watering yet? The staff here is incredibly friendly and your kids can play safely in the garden. What's stopping you?
Attention fish lovers! At De Visserij (The Fishery) in Piscadera you can eat next-level fresh fish. Upon arrival you can order tuna, red snapper or shrimp straight from the sea - don't forget your fries! - and it is prepared for you on the spot in the oven or deep fryer. Take a seat at a picnic table, relax, order a bucket of beer to complete the party and enjoy your basket of delicious local fish.
Pizza, brownies and a fantastic view over Playa Kalki: that is Sol Food. This small restaurant - there are only 6 tables - can be found all the way in the west of Curacao, called Westpunt. Owner Sunny, American, is super sweet and always comes for a chat. As soon as you sit down, a large jug of water is immediately placed on the table to quench your thirst. Here you can't help but order a pizza with toppings of your choice (mega large and mega tasty!), but leave a little room for THE BEST BROWNIE EVER!

You can eat all kinds of fresh fish such as Red Snapper and sea bream, but you can also get soup, stew and a tasty pasta. Very good food and not expensive: for between ten and twenty Antillean guilders you can have a delicious hot lunch here. Thank us later!

The very extensive menu consists of coffees, cakes, fresh smoothies, popular acai bowls, pancakes, waffles, croissants and sandwiches. That the dishes are not only delicious but also look good - perfect for that Instagrammable pic! - is of course also a bonus.
For those who are ready for a local culinary delight. At Restaurant & Café Gouverneur de Rouville you can eat national dishes such as keshi yena (cheese filled with spiced meat, olives, capers, pickled onions and plums) and karni stoba (beef stew). The most famous dish on the menu is the 'Cuban banana soup'. You have to taste this! The restaurant is located in a restored Dutch colonial mansion and offers beautiful views over the colorful trading quay.
A must-go if you’re with kids on Curaçao. Hofi Cas Cora calls itself the farm-to-table brunch spot of the island and that is no lie! At this organic farm you can enjoy a delicious brunch at the weekend - everything comes fresh from the garden or is purchased locally-, there are animals walking around and food events are regularly organized. In the farm shop (The Marketplace) you can buy locally grown vegetables, nuts, seeds, grains, dried fruit, as well as household and locally produced beauty products. Don't forget to bring your own bags and jars! What we recommend from the menu? EVERYTHING. Bon appetit!

The food is not expensive, the quality is good and the staff is nice. You can eat super tender stewed beef (karni stobá), goat (kabritu), tenderloin satay (saté di lomito), but also fresh fish such as Red Snapper (piská kòrá) and cod (bakiou). All dishes are served with corn flour (fungi), rice or beans. You shouldn't miss the fried banana (banana hasa) for dessert!
Your holiday on Curaçao is not complete without a visit to a 'Truk i'Pan'. Stop by if you're on the road, don't feel like eating in a restaurant or if you just want to fill your stomach after going out. The Truk i'Pans (food trucks) are a household name on the island and can be found everywhere, just along the side of the road. The most famous Truk i'Pan on the island is BBQ Express on the Caracasbaaiweg. There is often a long line, but the delicious tenderloin sandwiches (lomito), spicy chicken with fries or a portion of beef stew are more than worth the wait! There are several interactive exhibitions that stimulate the cognitive, physical, social and creative development of the young visitors. Nice to know for moms and dads: there is free WiFi and plenty of seating to keep an eye on the kids. This museum is highly recommended to visit with your little ones (aged 1 to 8 years)!
